Advisers are telling Trump that Mueller is an "existential" threat to his Presidency.

Yesterday, ABC News had on a right-wing adviser, Chris Ruddy of Newsmax, and he said that Mueller was an "existential" threat to Trump's presidency. No doubt, Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, and others are telling him the same thing.

It is no trivial matter that Trump has been talking to Republican leaders in the Senate. Mitch McConnell assured America that he was not persuaded by Trump's arguments. But it is important to note that Trump is making the argument to McConnell, Graham, Hatch, Cotton, and others. Judging from their recent comments, they seem to be buying into Trump's argument?

The truth of the matter is that Donald Trump and these "Republicans" are an "existential" threat to our country and our democracy. They seem to have no problem with hiding the truth from Bob Mueller and the American people? They seem to have no problem with lying about their connections to Russia and their efforts to influence American elections? They seem to have no problem with possible criminal connections to international gangsters? They seem to think the American people have no right to know what is happening in their government? They seem to think that it is only partisan bickering?

There is no sure bet that they will not throw Bob Mueller overboard to protect Donald Trump. Trump is working them hard and it appears it may be working?

Actually the Ruddy comment was surprising because we've been told that Trump's lawyers have been assuring him the investigation would end soon and he'd be exonerated. That's probably all they can tell him in order to calm him down.

We have seen this behavior before: Corruption for the sake self-preservation. Wish I had coined it. Those of us who were victimized by it at the local or state level tried to get help from our law enforcement agencies. And they ignored us. In fact, the term that seemed to apply was that we had better be prepared to be victims.

So, this is a dose of karma. I hope that they have been paying attention and Mueller is ready. They have had more than enough time to prepare for this possibility.

He knows that he has to shut down the investigation. Instead of firing Mueller, he will have him investigated by the DOJ . . .
he'll appoint new special counsel.

plan conferencing and after they pass the joint bill through to Trumps desk....Trump will fire Mueller (or have Rosenstein or new AG do it). He will then have 10 days with the bill on his desk to work through a discussion with congressional leaders, using their precious tax plan as a bargaining chip.

He may work a deal to be impeached but with vote not convicting

He may work a deal for no impeachment, but hearings

He may work a deal for resignation after a period of time, with of course a substantial buyout from wealthy donors and the RNC who just had a windfall of tax cuts.

Mueller's/America's most vulnerable period could be after the tax cut clears congress, awaiting POTUS signature. May already have been worked out...which is why key senators would OK a horrible plan.
