President Trump told reporters while boarding Marine One Monday that he feels "very badly" for his fired National Security Advisor Mike Flynn, who pled guilty to lying to the FBI on Friday. He also claimed that Hillary Clinton had lied repeatedly to the FBI "and nothing happened to her," while Flynn's life has been ruined by doing the same. "I think it's a shame," he said.

(111,106 posts)that it was Donald Trump that has "ruined his life", not the FBI. He's not going to get a better deal than he has right now, and still be able to sleep at night.

Also, they only filed one charge on him.
He has so many other possible charges they could pursue on him, I am sure they laid that out, too. If 45 pardon's him, they submit one of the other charges and lay the wood to his son.
