For those worried the republicans will not impeach Trump, no matter what.

When Mueller charges the Trump Whitehouse with obstruction of justice and conspiracy against America the Republicans will be forced to impeach for these reasons.

If they did not impeach that would mean the end of the rule of law. This country would explode. You would see the largest protests in American history. Violence would break out. Republicans in congress would need full time security. There lives would be in danger.

It would amount to a coup. The Republicans would be telling us they no longer believe in the rule of law. Only what they believe and say counts.

Think about, if charges are brought and nothing happened how would you respond? At least 60% of the American people hate Trump. They would revolt.

There are more than enough reasons to impeach the cretin in chief mostly because he is certifiably insane, breaks laws continuously, knows nothing but, more alarmingly, has his finger on the nuclear weapons codes. The republicans are so concerned about keeping their majority and their orangutang in power, that they forget their loyalty is not to the party but to the country and in this case to the world. I was in Europe recently and believe me the USA is the laughingstock of the world.

"the worst are full of passionate intensity."

William Butler Yeats (1865-1939)
THE SECOND COMING

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: a waste of desert sand;
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds.

The darkness drops again but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Ryan was recorded making a deal with Kislyak to launder Russian money to be used in the 2016 campaigns. Twice. McConnell's in on it, too. He received something between 3 and 5 million bucks that a Russian oligarch dumped into his PAC, AND he refused to agree to exposing the Trumpy-Russia scandal well before the election (as circumstantial evidence of a cover-up).

Pence will also be indicted on Conspiracy charges among others. That will lead us to Hatch and/or Mattis as successors.

It's unclear as to where the obstruction is, although it will come out it always does. Firing Comey was legal, if I understand things correctly, because that position works under the pleasure of the president.

You have us in a revolt, stop, wait for things to unfold which it appears to be happening quite well and the train is moving faster and faster.

I think Mueller can only suggest charges against trump, congress would be the one to start the impeachment process.

is just the beginning.

He needs violence as an excuse for rounding up anti-Trump elements. There are 200 or so protesters at the inauguration are on trial:

"On Monday, six people became the first to stand trial in connection with violent demonstrations that took place in Washington, D.C., the day President Trump was inaugurated.

Defense attorneys claim their clients are innocent and abstained from violence while prosecutors say by not leaving, the protesters participated in the violence. "They helped this path of destruction and it’s for those choices that they made that they need to be held accountable," said Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Kerkhoff."

per USA Today.

Trump is also setting up Mueller for an investigation by the DOJ. I assume it will find evidence enough to subpoena Mueller, letting Trump appoint an interim counsel.

I was in that march. It felt wonderful, empowering, uplifting.

And there has been some changes. But the republicans that you think will punish trump just passed the most anti-woman tax legislation in decades. None of the things we marched to get are supported in that bill. Actually, it attacks most those principles directly.

As we watch "principled" republicans cave by embracing the pussy-grabber and then hugging the Alabama pederast, I don't see where you feel they will be swayed by our protest. The kochs and their like are getting what they paid for from republicans. You don't have a couple of billion dollars? Then you don't get a say.

I think impeachment is possible this way. After the rich get what they wanted (cuts to their taxes and regulation and starting to undo entitlements), they will get rid of the orange blowhard and install their guy. Say hello to President ryan.

if Muellar's findings show trump's guilt and nothing is done.

I don't care if the repugs have done their duty to their rich clients with the tax scam or whatever, people will be in the streets in unprecedented numbers and it won't be a one-day movement.

trump will either resign or the 25th Amendment will be deployed, or the repugs will very reluctantly start impeachment proceedings.

Media pressure will amp up (many in the press have already taken off the gloves and are openly calling him a liar).

This won't go away just as Muellar's investigation won't.

And if trump fires Muellar that'll just accelerate the whole end game.

Nixon tried his best to stonewall it and stick it out but circumstances beyond his control gained increasing strength and he was forced out.

There are too many tentacles emanating out of Russia and connecting to too many actors in trump's campaign/admin for this to just dissipate with no seriously negative consequences — and of course there are the just as impeachable and quite evident obstruction of justice incidents we've witnessed from trump.

He's going down.

The coup has already taken place. The Russians changed vote totals. The GOP is all in on it and that's why we're seeing them vote for laws that normally would spell doom for them next Fall. They've been told by Trump (The guy who wields the Russian hacker power) that he'll guarantee their reelection if they play ball with him.

This is a criminal enterprise running the country. One thing criminal enterprises is great at is getting others to participate and become co-conspirators. Once they have their claws into you, there is no way out because you're now exposed criminally too.

They are not going to impeach because impeachment would lead to the down fall of many of them too. Th only hope Democracy in America has is for the election boards to take action to protect the vote at a local level.

and collusion with a foreign enemy will certainly result in an almost immediate resignation.

Don't worry and await the Statement of Offense. Then watch what happens. Republicans know what is coming and they know what the legal jeopardy is. This is why they are so quiet about the issue and not defending Trump's lies. But they are not going to make thing worse ahead of Mueller's schedule because their effectiveness and power would diminish. They are all in on this together, albeit not everyone will take a fall. Some will hang their own in the public square though to hang on to as much power as is salvageable. The best way to do that is swift resignations.
