3 interesting facts abou Mueller's Deutsch Bank subpoena

This is huge for 2 reasons:

- Deutsch Bank paid DOJ settlement for involvement in $10b Russian money laundering scheme

- Kushner took $285m loan from them right before election.

- Wilbur Ross, our Sec of Commerce was fired from Deutsch Bank for money laundering. He then moved to Cyprus Bank where he continued laundering for Russian involved in real estate deals including some with the Trump org.
Wilbur’s payback was a Cabinet position.

The Senate Intel Republicans blocking Deutsch financials on Trump today, is telling.
They are sworn to protect the big bomb that completes a RICO charge, (Mueller's already got that) , and their refusal now equals Obstruction on their part.
They should all fall like dominos in the end.

Cheeto has been the target all along because the FBI had the Steele dossier and various other reports/emails/telephone transcripts BEFORE the election. Never see Wilbur Ross mentioned these days without remembering Higgins' piece last spring,

"New Commerce Secretary Was No Friend to Russians at Cyprus Bank" "...in fact, he forced them (Russians) out of the bank." https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/06/world/europe/wilbur-ross-russia-bank-of-cyprus.html?_r=0

I put a lot of credibility on those bald statements back then. And every time I've looked since, Pulitzer-winner Higgins has still been with the NYT. Don't know what to think about him and this yet, but I do know the NYT's coverage in 2015-2016 was dishonest and sabotaged Hillary and Democrats in general.

Seems clear after all these months, though, that either Ross is relatively clean Russia-wise or Higgins and the NYT are dirty. We've seen a lot of journalists and journals now whose strings are yanked dutifully produce outrageously dishonest stories. It'd actually be preferable that Ross be clean...

Day in the sun. I think Russia wanted him there, or otherwise, with his baggage, he would have to be really stupid to have taken that position. He is not.

Flynn was an idiot to take it too, but I believe he was pushed there; he is not so sharp. Much hubris, especially given being fired by Obama. That is probably one thing that motivated him...a chance to be respected again, and revenge.

First, I disagree about Manafort. While he may be "smart" in his plots to evade international banking laws, he is actually pretty stupid. Look at his bail issue: he was told not to plead his case outside the courtroom but he was writing an OpEd with a Russian colleague. Did he not realize he's under surveillance? That seems pretty dumb because he may have jeopardized his release.

Second, I agree with you about Flynn. I recently read a profile about him, (I can't remember where, sorry), and there were several quotes from people he had worked with in the Army and at the DIA. One comment was that when he was fired from the DIA, something changed in him. He seems to have been desperately trying to make some big money.

Also, I believe you're right about the revenge motivation. He appears a very angry person.

well, "convinced" may be too strong, but I strongly suspect that 666 Fifth Avenue is a money laundering scheme by Kushner. This project was doomed from the start. To the extent that any savvy real estate person would have understood it was destined to fail. But Jared went ahead anyway. This deal just smells fishy.

Kushner redevelopment plan for 666 Fifth Ave. deemed ‘not feasible’ by partner

Jared Kushner’s $7.5 billion plan to transform a Manhattan skyscraper into a mix of high-end residences and retail has been deemed “not feasible” by the project’s partner, putting the future of the property — saddled with $1.2 billion in debt — in doubt.

Steven Roth, chief executive and chairman of office giant Vornado Realty Trust, owns 49.5 percent of the offices at 666 Fifth Ave. and said Tuesday that it did not appear that redevelopment plans, hatched by Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, before he left the company in January to become a senior White House adviser, were likely to succeed.

“There have been rumors in the marketplace, more than rumors, about tearing the building down and doing all manner of fairly grand development schemes,” Roth said. “It’s likely that those are not feasible.”

I think what this refers to is Josef Ackermann, who was the head of Deutsche Bank until 2012, being hired in 2014 as Chairman of the Bank of Cyprus, at the recommendation of Wilbur Ross, after Ross became that bank's majority shareholder. The other major shareholder in the Bank of Cyprus was a Russian oligarch.

Rachel, as I think was mentioned, did a fairly long piece that explored a bunch of this back in February, on the day Ross was confirmed as our Secretary of Commerce.

From every account point on those routes.

The claims of collusion might not be solid yet, but then some act might have broken the Logan Act. We'll see. In the meantime...

There are so many laundering laws, corrupt practices acts and emoluments counts that this can't do anything but lead to multiple indictments against Trump. The courts won't dare throw them all out because of the legal team's case building awesomeness.

The Trump laundering charges will be solid, obstruction of justice charges solid, and everyone taking Russian money through ANY channels will go down along with Trump.

Our system has become so corrupt, it is hard to summon up any kind of belief that justice will, in the end, prevail. Oh, it may in a karmic sense, but here? Now? For us everyday Americans?

Maybe not so much.

I'm sorry to say this, because like you, I hope every one of these disgusting, corrupt, uncaring, unempathetic, sociopathic Republicans gets hauled up on RICO charges. I hope their whole unholy party collapses of its own rottenness.
