2. ACORN was a capitulation to manufactured smear news that made me weep but not as much as now

5. They sharpened their claws on ACORN and terminated an organization that did much to register

voters who were usually left out of the process.

Maxine had to fight to have the ethics charges be detailed and countered publicly rather than allow a private takedown. They are still trying to smear her with these even though she was cleared and, in fact, was doing her job of speaking up to ensure minority’s banks would not be excluded from the bail out.

4. I am not religious but

I keep thinking about Jesus saying "He who is without sin should cast the first stone." It saddens me to see great leaders thrown out to gratify some ultra-righteous sense of women's victim-hood. Definitely, pedophile's should be prosecuted. But, individuals with infractions of relatively minor codes of social interaction should continue to be accepted in the Democratic community, after an honest apology. No one, not even the women, are totally blameless or above the law.
