the other side of boycotts

There is a mighty long list of products and eateries that might give many of pause if we knew where and how they spend their money, from environmental destruction to anti-equal rights causes to ALEC contributions to support for right-wing candidates. What I would like to see is a list of day to day household products and chain restaurants that do not support obnoxious efforts. I always try to buy local but that obviously not an option when it comes to many household items. I can buy them in a locally owned store but they are going to be products made by a giant corporation. So does anybody have a list of products made by socially responsible corporations? Stuff I can find in a small town?
