After Franken, Kirsten Gillibrand Is Breaking Out And Taking Democratic Women With Her

Years before "Me Too" became a hashtag, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) made her name in Congress by combatting sexual misconduct within the military. Now, she's ready to lead that movement through the halls of Congress, and she's willing to hold people accountable, wherever it takes her. This week, it struck the heart of her party.

https://www.bustle.com/p/after-franken-kirsten-gillibrand-is-breaking-out-taking-democratic-women-with-her-7429015

Great article about the leadership that Gillibrand has shown on this and many other issues. And how much she is inspiring Democratic women.

One more excerpt:

As to whether Gillibrand could be the face of the new guard and a bright enough star to win the White House in 2020, Hoffman says the junior New York Senator is increasing her profile and upping her credibility as a crusader for women.

What gets me is we aren't supposed to criticize Dems. These trolls rip Franken by buying into the RW lies. He's a Democrat, who was denied due process and thrown overboard. We defend our respected Democratic Senator with the truth...by pointing out the RW set up, which the lynch mob carried out. Then, we are trolled and dinged for exposing the truth. They don't get dinged for attacking Franken, mainly because most of the Franken defenders aren't just here to be be petty police.

She costs us one of best, strongest senator and possibly a democrat in that seat after 2018 and what did/will we as a party get in return? Will probably get a Senator Moore seated and remaining seating until the end of his term. Republicans do not care about moral high ground, morals or playing fair. Our moral high ground is not going to save our democracy. And it should as hell won't get me to support Gillibrand or the other senators who joined her in railroading Frankin out of his seat.

While she may have said and done some good things in the past, I just don't think I can forgive her for what she's done. Al deserved the right to defend himself and face his accusers. Gilibrand and the rest of the mob robbed him of that right. I just can't look at any of them the same way again.

Edit: I just want to add that if she (or any of the others) wins the primary in 2020 I would still vote for the Democrat in General Election against the Orange Nightmare. They've lost my respect though, and I'd have to hold my nose to do it.
