You made some valid points on MSNBC 5 minutes ago about the pushback from ignoring the sexual abuse problems. You are right about that. But making one or two or three people pay such a high price for the actions of others is wrong. KG was wrong. Period.
You are a "party leader" so you should lead. It's not too late to do the right thing, and give Senator Franken fair treatment. It's not his fault so much other abuse has been covered up.
"Leaders" can change their mind when they are wrong. I don't care if today KG is tweeting about Trump.
Being fair is far more important than anything now.
Some people behave badly and some others lie.
We need a process before we toss our friends to the wolves.

(3,608 posts)what happened to Al. I also want everyone to prepare that there are going to be more names named...and I'll guarantee there'll be some more Dem's on the sex pervert list. I worry that Dem's can't hold it together...and I'm talking about the base...not the elected officials.
KG did not MAKE Franken resign. Really she alone has that much influence? I think not.

Let's see if Gillibrand calls out the misogynistic USO show for its vile treatment of women over the DECADES it has been performed. That's probably not as popular as slamming fellow colleagues, though. Let's see her do the hard work and attack REPUBLICANS for a change and attack a show like the USO.

(5,210 posts)tobacco companies in her earlier years. I've not been a fan, in general (altho I do agree with her about military sexual abuse and assault and the chain of command). But this little trick -- and most of all the very sloppy thinking* that went with it on her part -- are pretty definitive for me.
* Not an exact quote, but close: "What's the difference between harassment and groping and pedophilia is the wrong conversation."
No, it's not, but at this stage of the revelations, it's the wrong question. The right question: what kind of support do you have for your allegations?
