The coward who ran down Heather Heyer charged with 1st degree murder.

First-degree murder charge for driver accused of plowing into Charlottesville crowd, killing Heather Heyer

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. —A judge here concluded Thursday that there is enough evidence to pursue a first-degree murder charge against the self-professed neo-Nazi accused of plowing his car into a crowd in August, killing one woman.

James Alex Fields Jr., 20, has been jailed in Charlottesville since his arrest during a rally of white supremacists on Aug. 12. Authorities say he rammed his car into another vehicle on purpose on a crowded street, killing counterprotester Heather D. Heyer 32, and injuring 35 other people.

The incident — captured on video and seen worldwide — occurred amid clashes involving hundreds of white supremacists and counterprotesters at a gathering billed by organizers as a “Unite the Right” rally, in the home town of the University of Virginia.

At least the charge wasn't something like second degree or manslaughter, but the system went out of their way to emphasize that this was not a hate crime, let alone terrorism. (After all, only "swarthy" people do that.)

to be in the state's case against this nazi.

BTW, 1st degree can be proven in this case as there were several eyewitness who said he was intentionally driving his car into the crowd of people. Premeditation can occur in an instant...it doesn't have to be a long term plan to get 1st degree premeditated murder.

That he was scared because of all the scary antifa, so he panicked.

Nazis running around town with assault rifles and playing army man tactical dress-up, but if this asshole gets the “right” jury and a defense attorney capable of confusing people on what the “reasonable” part of reasonable doubt is, I can see him being acquitted.

Or maybe I’m just hopelessly cynical.

Too bad this thing looks like a moron/despicable - that's just his genes. The impetus for these imbeciles to do harm comes from the RW farm.

Wonder if Dumpf can't pardon him and give him a nice desk in the White House? How better to desecrate this country?
