(17,235 posts)Schiff would make a great President. Adam Schiff is my replacement for Kirsten Gillibrand.

(3,913 posts)I've not heard a peep about his intentions but I'm hoping. He'd be a very strong candidate. Been cutting through the trump/Russia bovine fecal matter very effectively in the public sphere, and that would be very valuable during the 2020 campaign, as more and more trump lies get exposed over the coming months/years.

(10,540 posts)He has not been near aggressive enough in fighting the Republican slow play joke of an investigation. I would like to see him start calling them out on their obstructionist tactics. He will on occasion, but not very often.

(1,148 posts)that need to be heard. Voices who don't sound like a middle-aged white man. There are more people in this country, no matter what congress looks like. For example: you know... women have been around for a while. They've been voting for a while too, I hear.

(53,546 posts)Adam Schiff would be a prime candidate. He is so reasonable, intelligent, measured, articulate, and clearly, a really good man. I fell in love with him rather quickly when he started appearing regularly on television. This is what a leader should be.

(90,775 posts)I like the names I see here, a LOT. Adam Schiff is terrific! Jay Inslee is most interesting, too.
I also like Joe Kennedy III, a LOT.
I like Gavin Newsom a LOT.
I have always liked, and loved, Jerry Brown, even though I think he's a little too old by now. Same thing with Joe Biden, although if he led the ticket I'd vote for him with bells on! It'd be wonderful to have someone who's truly compassionate, and with a truly warm and gentle-hearted consciences kicking the miserable trump/pence to the curb.
If Kirsten Gillibrand runs and becomes the nominee, I will hold my nose and vote for her, even though she's got a big job ahead to rehabilitate herself after leading the lynch mob against Al Franken. Shit - he didn't even get due process. Soured on Kamala Harris for the same reason, but would vote for her, too, if that was the "D" on the ballot.
Sally Yates is intriguing, might be PERFECTION as a VP nominee with an appealing headliner.
And yet... I STILL wish it could be Hillary. Guilty as charged. She's STILL what we need. Especially with all of THIS shit going on, here and overseas. We need that cool head and steady hand, now more than ever.
