Question: How long will it take for tax bill if passed to become effective?

I know some say it takes effect January 1, 2018...

But does that mean businesses and people will start using the law in 2018?

And if it really is April of 2019 that the real effects start, then the New Democratic Congress can reverse the damage.

but that would require a veto override and that is massively unlikely. We are going to be stucj with this until at least 2021.

Pence to take over if Trump exits, or would allow a Agnew->Ford deal as we did in 73.

Yes everyone will have to use it for 2018 taxes, returns filed by 4/15 2019. Withholding etc will Jan 1 assuming it is signed by then.

6. Folks' paycheck withholdings would change in early 2018. So most folks will see a reduction soon
