7. We are finally back home and feeling very fortunate indeed, just emotionally exhausted...

Our kids back in Santa Barbara had to evacuate as well, so we were again glued to the tv. So far so good.

I'm going to have to look up how many miles up and down the coast it has gone, but from Fillmore into Santa Barbara must be 60 miles. Anyhow they measure these things in acres, and it's now about 270,000 acres. Officials estimate it will be contained by January 7 -- not out, contained.
