Trump, Mueller, and Russia endgame

There been lots of talk about how Mueller’s investigation plays out. How will congress or SCOTUS react.

But isn’t a big variable how Russia will react? If their election interference is about to be exposed then they might go all out to protect their investment.

1. I don't see them changing a successful strategy.

They won this round, and Putin and the KGB are patient and play the long game.

They have created chaos and division, and corrupted Congress and the Presidency.
We don't know if he has bought off sizable portions of the US judiciary as well.

If any thing Putin will double down on asset acquisition. That is, recruit and bribe more members of the US government, and possible future candidates.

On the other hand, America is not Russia, we are a freedom loving people.
But we have a dark underbelly that Putin can exploit to his advantage.

Time will tell how this unfolds.

2. republicans are such a profound disappointment

All their talk over the years about patriotism and ethics, and now the naked truth of their perversions and their betrayal of America for russian money. They have shamed themselves for all time.

Is that that what comes out of the investigation will be a lot of "behind the scenes" dealing to avoid an international incident and maintain "calm".

Which is going to really suck for everyone wanting handcuffs and perp walks. Not gonna happen. Deals will be made in the "interests of the country". Resignations, exchanges, etc.

I really hope I'm wrong. The whole GOP needs and Russian scandal needs an enema.
