(1,180 posts)Legally he cant fire Mueller, but theres nothing stopping him from firing Rosenstein. Once thats done, Trump can put an Asst AG partial to his cause, and have that person fire Mueller.

Rosenstein was confirmed to his position by a vote of 94-6 in the Senate with all Republicans voting for him.
Also, his letter did not really recommend firing James Comey, but he did warn Trump that "Although the President has the power to remove an FBI Director, the decision should not be taken lightly."
When a highly respected top law enforcement officer warns you about taking a certain action, you should probably heed his advice.

He has a fleet of attorneys who are specialized in their disciplines.
I'm sure they know very well who they're dealing with and how these criminals can be expected to act to evade punishment.
