I went looking for a review of the show, but didn't find much yet. Just a little snippet from the Huntsville Times. It doesn't say anything about the content of the show.
Their shows and the audiences are both very different, but they all shared entertainment under one roof.
I asked Monster Truck fan Ronnie Harrison what he thought about Maher making fun of southerners.
I don't care! I would make fun of me too. I'm about half brain dead, Harrison laughed.

(1 post)The show was good, not great... maybe more time spent on new material would help. There was a bit of current stuff, but the vast majority of the 90-minute show was devoted to gay marriage and repeating the f word in many contexts. I expected a more sophisticated audience that would appreciate satirical humor, but this was a guffawing, loud crowd who acted like they were watching the Three Stooges perform slapstick. Seems like this was the bible-thumping, homophobic, racial biased group that Bill was referring to in much of his show... Still, it was nice to get out of the house
Not too many choices for entertainment here!
