I remember when the Post Herald was the morning paper and The Birmingham New the evening.
Then they switched.
Then bye bye Post Herald.
Through out this the prices went up.
I could see within the next few years only Sunday being printed.

The company which owns the papers say they are focusing on on-line content. Of course this means they are cutting jobs in the process.

I understand the issues in the news paper business, but what about those who don't use the internet, or reads the paper while eating breakfast, or while on the "john".

I wish they will create a real on-line paper similar to the NY Times or WSJ with an iPad version. I don't see this happening.

Remember?
twas predicted that tree based reading material would be impacted by online growth.

It has happened, but for slightly different reasons....the papers are getting too expensive to publish and advertising is falling off.
