Indivisible wants to know why the slowdown in grassroots fundraising.

https://indivisible.actionkit.com/mailings/view/126168

Here's the gist of it:

If you want to give, that’s fantastic! Here’s the link to donate.

Otherwise, we hope you can help us understand the slowdown in giving a bit more. Is it because of the general political mood, the economy, or are you not seeing what you'd like to see from Indivisible right now? Take our survey and let us know.

The more honest and blunt the better -- and there's no donate link at the end of the survey, because your responses will be invaluable as we navigate this moment and figure out how to adjust so that we keep fighting this fascist regime, win the midterms, and protect the results.

We want to know how you’re feeling about politics in general, where you’re prioritizing your giving (whether that’s to candidates or particular causes), what types of organizing or programs inspire you to give, and if there’s anything you believe Indivisible should change that would motivate you to donate.

The survey is relatively short but please feel free to answer as many or as few questions as you feel comfortable -- any amount of feedback is incredibly valuable!

Here's a summary of the survey.

Have you ever made a donation to Indivisible?
Yes
No
Unsure

If you've donated before, but haven't donated in the last two months, please list the reason or reasons why:
Personal financial reasons
I don't believe my donation will make a difference
I am prioritizing my giving to other organizations, causes, or candidates
I'm trying to tune out the news for a few months until we're closer to the election
I disagree with Indivisible's current strategy, focus, or organizing priorities
Other

Are there specific issues with Indivisible strategy/tactics/messaging that are impacting your contribution decisions?

-------
How likely are you to make a donation to Indivisible over the next six months?
Very Likely
Somewhat Likely

Unlikely
Very Unlikely

How are you feeling about our ability to defeat fascism and repair the damage wrought by this regime?
More optimistic than at this time last year
Less optimistic than at this time last year
No different

How likely are you to volunteer ahead of the 2026 midterms with orgs/candidates you support?
Very Likely
Somewhat Likely
Unsure

Very Unlikely

Do you have any additional feedback?

---------------------

The survey is not anonymous (Name and email and zip code are required fields) and emails to the feedback address are unlikely to get a response, just due to overload.

But these are to think about.
Personally, I have donated but bypass fund-raising emails, spending time on echoing "ACTION" emails here, which is tedious, cleaning PII out of links, which can be quite numerous. I skipped the links in the most recent one.

From what I gather as a non-organizer, it is a very distributed organization. usonian 4 hrs ago #3

Indivisible has become invisible unfortunately. Watch parties and dispersed protests really dont cut it. Not sure what they are afraid of.

Other groups? They may be busy fighting off the anti-free-speech DOJ. I just don't know.

I see signs of people starting to fill the leadership vacuum.

I am sure that Bernie and AOC could fill the mall, but then, I'm also sure that the administration would plant land mines there.

I have posted before about receiving 30+ requests from all kinds of organizations and people that I've never heard of, per day just before the elections.
The law enables my personal information to be distributed to every campaign in the country, just because I made one donation to one campaign, FOREVER!!!! The messages and emails I receive could be Rethug for all I know. I don't trust any of them. Indivisible gets lost in the onslaught.

I have said before I want to opt out!
There is NO PRACTICAL METHOD to do so.

I refuse to change the email address I've had for 30 years, and changing my phone number of 35 years is not an option either (do you know how many accounts are tied to your phone number and/or email address? I have over 500 contacts on my phone, and more than 400 entries in my password app, many of which use my email as a username (STUPID, but the norm)).

End result: No-one is getting any donations, I mark every single request for a donation as spam, unless it's directly from a campaign or person I trust.
