US Moving To Resupply Jordan's Military With Munitions

WASHINGTON/AMMAN - The United States is readying plans to resupply Jordan with munitions in the coming weeks, possibly including precision-guided arms, expediting support for the kingdom as it expands its role in airstrikes against the Islamic State, officials say.

The State Department and Pentagon declined comment on any future moves to assist Jordan with requests for weapons. But several US officials speaking on condition of anonymity said that planning was well underway to help replenish Jordan's supplies of ordnance.

US efforts to expedite delivery of munitions and other weapons follow a vocal appeal from Jordan's King Abdullah to American lawmakers last week for greater US support.

A source close to the Jordanian government told Reuters the kingdom believed its supplies of bombs are being stretched too thin as it expands its role in strikes following the Islamic State's grisly execution of a Jordanian pilot.

The United States says Russia is sending large amounts of military supplies and equipment to pro-Russian fighters in eastern Ukraine, as the deadline for a cease-fire draws near and raging fighting kills at least 26 people.

The fighting in eastern Ukraine on Friday between Ukrainian forces and Russian-backed separatists was especially intense in the strategically important area around Debaltseve.

Isn't this sort of the same thing? You support the people who support your "interests"? Isn't it time we stopped this whole pissing contest of "I have to defend my bastard against your bastard because if we went head to head we'd fuck this whole thing up?"
It's time for our national leaders to grow up and be adults or us kids will give them a kick in the nads and do a "Home Alone" assault on their stupid asses.
