Mother Jones Editors Demand O'Reilly Apologize For 'Kill Zone' Comment

The editors-in-chief of Mother Jones magazine on Friday demanded that Fox News host Bill O'Reilly apologize for saying one of their journalists "deserves to be" in "the kill zone."


After the liberal magazine published a report accusing O'Reilly of inflating his record while covering the Falklands War, O'Reilly slammed one of the article's authors, David Corn, in an interview with AdWeek's TVNewser.

"I’ve talked to about eight or nine reporters, and when they verify what I’m saying, because it’s easily verifiable, then I expect David Corn to be in the kill zone. Where he deserves to be," O'Reilly told the website.

Clara Jeffery and Monika Bauerlein, editors-in-chief of Mother Jones, wrote a letter to Fox News executive vice president Bill Shine and spokesperson Dana Klinghoffer demanding O'Reilly apologize, Politico reported on Friday.

The closest to a kill zone O'Reilly has been, apparently, is the ever dangerous loofah sponge device. Also called by bathtub warriors as LSD. What? That might explain it, LSD.....maybe he hallucinated his heroic adventures. Poor Bill, mangled beyond recognition braving the horrors of loofah sponge devices going off all around him. Or was he going off on the loofah sponge? Well I'm sure we will hear all about the loofah sponge war and his death defying acts with it soon.

Plaintiff ANDREA MACKRIS felt angry, abused and disgusted.


And Mackris got all of these harrassing calls down on tape. If only she'd release them.....

No bully like being shown as a bully, and given some of it back.... And that's whats happening here - a bully who have been able to bully as he pleased for the last 10 years and more - are now being told he have no cloth on - and that he is being hurt by his ego because others is playing what he have started right back on him... He are so used getting away with a lie, that he have great troubles who he overstepped his own boundaries - and was claiming to have been places who he have never been - at least not in a war zone.... And I guess someone got enough of his lies and was checking him up - and discovered the truth...

But I guess he will end up getting a raise - and some other perks out of this - after all he works at Fox news - a "news-channel" who lie for a living, and have been doing it since 1996...

I had that channel for a brief time back on my cable back in 2001 - and one of them I saw then, was mr O'Really - a blabbering hate-fulled man who was loudmouth pr excellence.. I sat rather flabbergasted by it all - as I was used to a whole different way of news representation than he gave.... And I think it was a good idea that Fox news are not able to get on cable in most european countries anymore - they was not even able to get it to work over in Canada, who border US for thousands of kilometers....
