RIGHT NOW: Crowd gathers on Capitol for Right to Work protest

MADISON (WKOW) -- Protests combating the Right To Work legislation passed Wednesday night are being held on the state capitol Saturday afternoon.

The AFL-CIO has a permit allowing 5,000 attendees at the protest today. Rally organizers say they will protest against the Right to Work bill passed in the senate last week and protesters will also demand an apology Gov. Scott Walker. They want him to apologize after he said earlier this week that fighting against 100,000 protesters during the Act 10 debates in 2011 will prepare him to fight terrorists as president........

Turnout for the 2012 recall was unprecedented, while the 2014 election was the largest voter turnout in a midterm election in the past 50 years in Wisconsin.

In 2012, the re-run of Tom Barrett took the wind out of the sails of many Wisconsin Democrats. Although Barrett's attitude toward labor was friendlier than Walker's, it would've been a stretch to call him a pro-labor candidate. In fact, The Wisconsin Education Association Council and AFSCME actually tried to discourage Barrett from entering the race.
