Obama White House Blasts Mike Pence For Lying About Indiana Religious Freedom Law

During his daily briefing, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest blasted and debunked Republican Gov. Mike Pence’s lies about Indiana’s religious freedom law.

Video:

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest was asked if President Obama feels a need to amend the 1993 federal religious freedom law.

Earnest answered:

I know that Gov. Pence has tried to falsely suggest that the law that was signed in Indiana is the same as the law that was passed at the federal level in 1993. That is not true, and the reason that that’s not true is that the 1993 law was an effort to protect the religious liberty of religious minorities based on actions that could be taken by the federal government.

Pass an Indiana "All Of Us" human rights protection act. Freedom to hate is the opposite of Liberty.

reaching 50 mil people a week it is true! they got pence's back on that one, and unless those americans hear earnest or a few of the truthtellers out there - pence is correct.

BTW these three indiana unis helped push the hate law

notre dame 6, purdue 4 and the uni of indiana 1, rent their sports mascots to 11 limbaugh stations.

and that's just a list from football teams

and i'll bet if those schools were pushed to even announce they were going to look for apolitical alternatives for their sports broadcasting, those stations would either have to go broke or look for alternatives programming.

those stations have been pushing this hate law, and are now defending it- there might be a few local rw talkers who maybe backing off if they feel the business backlash but all limbaugh stations will generally fallow his lead and that whole 'religious freedom' bullshit has been a rw radio meme since arizona and hobby lobby and it fits right in will all their years of hate and anti govt 'freedom' bullshit.

I don't know. I would guess it is well above 0.400 (for those that do know these types of things).

Is it causality? Of course not.

Being a genetic bigot doesn't necessarily make you like pro sports. Liking pro sports doesn't necessarily make you a bigot. However these seem to go hand in hand.

Sitting in a bar drinking beer with your buds that all think alike about most everything, doesn't make you like/hate (long list here). However, I bet you aren't using your rational brainpower too much. And I bet the rest of your life is in the same mode.

"Sadly, Bud passed away last week. He will be remembered for his love of his teams, his close friends, and his rowdy exuberance. His family asks that you send any donations to the Battered Families Foundation."

bigotry in terms of both being accepted techniques for applying order and absolutism and judgmentalism to every day events, woven into the moral and societal structures to satisfy the need for certainty.

an important and unavoidable cause for that the need for certainty, or as the psych studies of cons refer to it, avoidance of uncertainty, is explained here:

Democrats hold near and dear gets distorted by GOP. A law passed in 1993 with intent to protect some religious rights has been used by Hobby Lobby and now expanded in Indiana to promote GOP hate. The federal law in this case was the basis of hate laws passed in different states to prop up the rights of hate to be legalized.
