Christie knew of GWB lane closures as they occurred, Wildstein lawyer alleges

Source: NJ Advance Media

Alan Zegas, David Wildstein's attorney, reiterated today that Gov. Chris Christie knew about the George Washington Bridge lane closures that led to the Bridgegate scandal.

Christie "knew of the lane closures as they occurred" and "evidence exists" that proves it, Zegas said after his client pleaded guilty, although he did not say that Christie knew about the motive for the lane closures.

Zegas did not expand upon the comments, but it's not the first time that Wildstein and Zegas contended that Christie knew about the lane closures.

...snip...

The attorney did not indicate Christie ordered the closures or was aware of the motive, now determined by prosecutors to be political payback against Sokolich.

I do think it still damaged him politically so at least that came out of it.

Bridget Kelly is speaking now. Oh what a wonderful woman she is. "assuring the state of New Jersey works FOR the people, not against them." Yeah, girlfriend. My ass.

Wonder if she's going to deny writing the "time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee" email? Or the "is it wrong that I'm smiling?" one. You know, the ones she wrote. Oh she's innocent and dedicated and blah-blah-blah. Get her outta here.

Christie's office said then that he had no prior knowledge of the lane closures before they happened and was not aware of the motive.

Doesn't deny he knew WHEN it WAS happening.

Weasle.

But anybody in their right mind can’t possibly believe that he wasn’t part of the original plan..

Christie is not a dumb man... Bosses do delegate, but 99% of them provide strict parameters for all potential operative problems.. Massive Traffic Jams which will piss off tens of thousands, that is what I would define as a huge potential issue..

sitting next to me, tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I'd mind letting her read the article ( she just read the headline on my iPad ).

She read it...then clenched her fist , punched the air quietly , and said "yes!"

Turns out she's a retired NJ school teacher....they all hate Crispy with a passion!
