Each and every baby born (with a few very sad exceptions) is very special to his/her parents.

I have to agree with you about 'royalty' though.

Most people hold out the hope that each baby should be special to parents and other extended family/friends. That is the ideal, but it certainly not universally true.

Mom wanted to name me Charlotte Hoover in honor of some ancestor of her adoptive family, but dad overruled her, thank Ceiling Cat. I don't know where they got the Diane from, but my middle name, Lee, is in honor or Liberace, lol.
