Police chief: 4 dead, including suspect, 1 hurt in random shooting on Wisconsin bridge
Source: Strib
Four people are dead and one person is injured after a man opened fire on a bridge in a small city in eastern Wisconsin in what police described as a random shooting.
The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday in Menasha on the Fox Cities Trestle Trail bridge that spans Little Lake Butte des Morts, according to Menasha police.
Police Chief Tim Styka said the shooter was among those who died. The man was pronounced dead at a hospital.
"At this point we do not believe there is any other threat to the community," Styka said. "We think this was a random act. It does not appear that anyone was targeted."
"Around the country every day it seems to happen somewhere or every other day. I never ever thought I'd be standing here talking about this and having such a situation like this happen in our community," Taylor said.

There there was some guy talking about psy ops agents or some stupid shit.
"Gotta love false flag psych ops with crisis actors setting up problem, reaction, solution, the agenda leading to disarming we the people. your false flags don't work anymore. FOFL."

For Ed...Thank you for the updates you posted in the Wisconsin group - they really helped getting a grasp of this tragedy.

(8,879 posts)I snark about in passing while trying to make a political point when it's not in my back yard then it morphs to something very different and very visceral and real when it is close to home.
I think if I learned anything from this tragedy it is to maybe tread a little more lightly initially following these tragedies because these are real people in real communities shaken to their core and just trying to figure out what the hell just happened.

I don't believe we are there yet, but we are certainly heading in that direction.

(9,126 posts)Or some kind of Mad Max distopia. That's why their voices should not carry so much legitemacy. If a person is so gripped with fear, fear of the world and life itself, they cannot be trusted to make sound decisions for the rest who are not.

(10,167 posts)This is horrible. This nut randomly tried to take out an entire family because he broke up with his girlfriend. Former Air Force, student at U.W. Oshkosh, and about to go back into the Army. I refuse to mention the murderer's name.

(10,167 posts)at a local press conference. He read the names of the family that was gunned down along with a young man just out for an evening walk, but would not mention the murderer's name except for one time. After that it was just "the shooter." We've had exceptionally beautiful weather here in the Fox Valley recently and everyone is outside enjoying it after a bitter cold winter. The park was probably full of people enjoying the lake and watching people fish. I just can't even imagine this.
