Wisconsin may ban abortions after 20 weeks

Source: The Guardian

Wisconsin may become the 11th state in the US to ban abortions after 20 weeks.

Republicans in the midwestern state announced a bill on Thursday that could become law within weeks.

Governor Scott Walker, who used a moderate-sounding campaign ad on abortion during his re-election last fall, said he would sign the bill when it crosses his desk. Republicans control both houses of the legislature.

The law would make it a felony to perform an abortion after 20 weeks and impose a $10,000 fine along with a possible three-year, six month prison term.

As a Democrat and a believer in right to choose I think the decision should have been made weeks before if a mother to be chooses to have an abortion at this late stage...Ok so don't everyone ponce on me at once.

But still it is still a woman's right to choose and should not be governed by a law that makes her a criminal

if you're poor. And the money just rains down in buckets if you're poor and have children. And that job or jobs that pregnant woman has? No sick days. Take off so many days and you're fired.

know I should not have responded to this OP and kept my opinions to myself and I do respect your opinions as well.
It is a subject that one should not address or at least I shouldn't
