Also. Thanks to whoever finally slapped some sense into the politicians and got them to say "Medicare For All" rather than the horrible phrase "Single Payer".

Folks will want to settle there, and businesses will want to locate there to save on health insurance for their employees and take advantage of this ambitious labor pool. Yes, I am sure there will be higher taxes, but people will see an immediate and direct benefit, both in their health care and their economic opportunities.

Though this may not pass, there are now rumblings. That is how it starts. There is lots of talk in California too with some cities like San Francisco exploring it. If California goes, Oregon and Washington might jump in too. With big economies like that being successful, we might have a shot at getting it FINALLY in this country. That is how Canada did it and their healthcare is stellar.

No way our Senate will ever pass it. This is just the D's in the Assembly trying to look good after the whole Silver debacle earlier this year. Now they can tell their constituents they tried.

I'm not even sure Cuomo would sign it if it did make it past the Senate (which it has no chance in hell of doing).

Which kind of sucks.

You need to pass it nationally or else sick people will just flood NY for treatment. We need a national plan not a state plan. Mark my words, this will never take off.
