Baby believed kidnapped near Los Angeles is found safe

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A 13-month-old girl believed to have been kidnapped from a California motel was found safe, and two men were arrested on suspicion of abducting her, authorities said Saturday.

Someone called authorities Saturday afternoon after hearing a baby crying in a shed in Palmdale, about 35 miles northeast of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. Joseph Fender said. The girl appeared to be unharmed, he said.

An Amber Alert issued earlier in the day identified the suspect as a 38-year-old man driving a brown BMW. However, officials said detectives later determined that man wasn't involved in the crime.

Instead, they identified a man in a blue Ford Contour as the suspect.

going to MURDER a 13-mo-old baby???? WTF? I wonder what the police found that lead to those specific charges.

4. Of course. I feel stupid. But maybe the fact that she was heard right away by

someone nearby made me think she wasn't in that much danger -- that the men actually changed their minds and dropped her off where she'd surely be found.

Very good they captured the kidnappers. There is a problem with babies/ little kids in used in child porn. We'll have to wait until police get the story from the 2 people. Could just be a child custody issue.
