I cant sit here and listen to this': Anchor loses it after Fox host says abortion worse than lion killing

Fox Business anchor Cheryl Casone (screen grab)
............After Starnes called on the Republican Party to make the presidential debates about the abortion issue, he was interrupted by Fox Business anchor Cheryl Casone, who was waiting off camera to report on Twitter earnings.
I cant sit here anymore and listen to this, she said. This is a barbaric practice whether youre pro-life or youre pro-choice.
The choice is life or death! Starnes exclaimed, wagging his finger at her.
Youre going to make this about abortion when youve got so many other issues! Casone shouted back. Youre going to make the election about abortion. Something [thats settled law] since Roe v. Wade. You really want to go all the way back to that debate when there are so many other issues facing this country? Thats the election you want to have in 2016?
I do wonder if theyve got the photographs of aborted little girls! Starnes bellowed, anticipating a War on Women line of attack. Little girls who do not have a right to live in this country because theyve been aborted and their arms and their limbs and their body parts are auctioned off to the highest bidder.
So you want to overturn Roe v. Wade, is that what youre saying, Todd? Casone asked sternly.

Good to know there are some folks on Fox who are not nuts and willing to stand up for PP--and women and families

Or for that matter all women since PP provides all kinds of services.
One could almost say he is physically threatening the life of every woman you know.
On LIVE tv.

Instead of fantasizing of little girls ripped apart in utero, he'd get to see it first hand when little ten year olds are ripped apart from the inside out by childbirth their bodies are too small and undeveloped to withstand.
Oh, yes, he'd be a really happy camper.

I was fried just watching the video-- I wouldn't have been surprised if she jumped over the desk and strangled him.

(2,188 posts)Fox politics guy was talking about abortion (his right). Fox Business woman was waiting to go on next, and jumped in and attacked him.
What kind of political discussion does she expect from Fox News? Gay marriage support? Raising the minimum wage? Speaking highly of Obama and the Iran nuclear deal? It's a neo-con nut case station.

Not whether okay body parts were donated. (again cord blood.. ) yes what is research about I really don't need to see that but I saw it when I was 11 meh kinda numbs me after awhile. i just can't imagine Christians hating that long. On one issue. Sure the country and millions can die but this one issue is above all others (indeed thats people I know) It gets tough from that because then I look like I'm defending abortion. I'm not but in this country its innocent till proven guilty. I think still ISIL has taken over the Tea Party. They are both the same skin. I can't stand that sort of hate. It ruins ones health so I'd prefer just avoiding it. like I should be doing right now...

(5,668 posts)really fund PP and actually the abortion part Hypocrite
so how badly does he want to boycott Exxon Mobile?? or several of the banks listed. He'll look like a Liberal get kicked right out of the party. SMH like seriously is anyone for abortion? No. How about birth control bonk. Hey we have 900 other problems than this. If you want to make it about abortion then go after the companies that sponsor it. (Hobby Lobby!!!!!) as in Forced Abortion X_X as in Men who kick their wives in the stomach while pregnant. etc etc etc..

(7,397 posts)Really? Abortion is not an issue now? So they will make it non-stop "Democrats want to kill babies" commercials for a year? Instead on creating your own issue, how about finding out what is important to the future of the country? We all know why. Abortion makes people ANGRY and whatever makes people angry sells to Republican voters. And many independents and some Democrats. But it is what it is, it's the law of the land, so move on to issues also important in 2016.
Instead of making people angry, how about continuing the policies of the last twenty years that have dramatically reduced abortions? That is making progress. That is giving what anti-abortionists want - fewer abortions. Why is there no recognition of policies that have succeeded?
As Chris Matthews famously says, "perfect is the enemy of good."

(79,204 posts)how they thought the world was more upset over a dead lion than what they called dead kids (via planned parenthood).
Red Knight
(704 posts)NOTHING.
But somehow, some twisted way, Fox News uses it to rage against Planned Parenthood.
It uses it as a sort of Rage-O-Meter to tell you what you are allowed to be angry about. But do they worry about unlimited guns that kill children? Do they rage against cuts in programs that assist children once they are born? These great protectors of the unborn
children care little about them once they actually are born. It's hard to believe that this is some sort of compassionate rage they possess...and this story was clearly about one thing: pushing the buttons of the idiots who watch Fox News.
They know those buttons well, and their fake outrage is just fresh meat for their viewers.
Keep them angry. Keep them coming back for more. Never offer anything of substance.
