Donald Trump found himself the target of audible boos on Tuesday as he entered the U.S. Open quarterfinals in New York on Tuesday evening.

The GOP presidential front-runner, on hand to watch defending U.S. Open champion and top-ranked Serena Williams defeat her older sister, Venus, was booed as he entered the stadium, according to a video posted by ESPN.

4. Don't be so sure

The U.S. Open is in Queens, where 49% of all residents are immigrants. NYC does not have the same large number of rabid anti-immigrant people that other parts of the country do.
I think The Donald got a very special New York cheer aimed at him specifically.

6. I think you misunderstood my post

NYC is not hostile to immigrants the same way as some parts of the country. Many in attendance are tourists from abroad. A lot of the workers at the US Open are indeed immigrants. In putting all this together, I do not think that HRC would have received the same hostility.

Though I would argue that HRC might get booed because Republicans generally seem to fervently dislike her and there are probably a fair number of Republicans in attendance at the US Open.

Probably not the same level of hostility as Trump, though - I would agree.
