Source: Think Progress
The House has just passed a watered-down version of the Violence Against Women Act, by a vote of 222 to 205. The GOP-backed iteration of the bill strips out the provisions to protect undocumented, Native American, and LGBT victims that were included in the Senate version. -snip-
UPDATE: Twenty three Republicans voted against the passage of the bill, while six Democrats voted in favor of it.

(11,415 posts)1/32, so will that show? Before there is response to undocumented emigrant attacks should they email their papers? What a foolish law!
Republicans are passing illogical unworkable laws to restrict the freedoms, welfare and rights of women and the working class. Then they cry that it's not happening. They are not living up to their sworn pledges to preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States. If they ignore this pledge they should be immediately dismissed from their position as our Representatives.
