RNC, Romney campaign will erect new organization to bypass (Nevada) state GOP

Source: Las Vegas Sun

Fed up with an inept and self-destructive GOP apparatus in Nevada, the Republican National Committee and the Mitt Romney campaign have decided to erect a “shadow state party” in this critical swing state, sources confirmed today.

“They are still bogged down in the minutiae of whether Romney will be the presumptive nominee,” scoffed a GOP strategist familiar with the details of the restructuring. “We don’t have time for that when the Obama campaign already is in full campaign mode. We have no use for them (the state GOP).”

The lack of faith in the Republican Party here intensified with the botched February caucus, metastasized after the Ron Paul takeover in Sparks and reached its zenith with Tuesday evening’s call for RNC Chairman Reince Priebus to resign by a divided Clark County GOP.

Priebus was described to me as “disappointed with the censuring,” which probably means his blood pressure went high enough to give an elephant a stroke. So Priebus, in concert with the Romney folks here, have decided to turn the so-called Team Nevada office on Tropicana into the de facto Republican Party.

Sorry if you don't like how I use democrat or democratic. After all you understood what I was trying to say. I am sick of hearing it from people like you being the spelling police. You don't like it then don't respond please. We all can't live up to your standards. I'm sick of it of hearing it.

When it is used as a modifier the "-ic" is needed. When it is a noun, it is not needed. Not that difficult if you pay attention. If you are posting on the Democratic Underground, it is not too much to ask that you get it right. Sorry but if you are "sick of hearing it" then either get it right or don't post, because the fact is that some Republicans like to make a point of getting it wrong just to be obnoxious so people are going to keep commenting if you can't figure it out.

I didn't know we had "speller patrol" around here. Just saying. Besides that I was responding to someoneelse post. I will continue to use it any way I want. I am a social democrat and damn proud.

to which you were responding. That poster was clearly referring to Nevada Repigs when she said 'they' would hold their noses and vote for Obama (rather than swallow an illegitimately nominated Romney).

She was NOT referring to Nevada Democrats.

Wow.

always getting a butt chewing on the use of the word democrat or democratic. That is what the beef is. Either way someone is always complaining about it. No matter how I say it. But I don't know why they seem to feel that we need a speller patrol now. I don't win either way. I am through with that kind of comments. If they don't like what or how I say it then don't respond to me. I guess the best way in the future is to use "dem" that way I don't get jumped on over and over again.

There is a difference between an occasional typo or incorrect usage and willful ignorance or carelessness.

Pretty simple. If you don't want me or anybody else to respond, don't post. If you want to send a message to one person only, send a private message. See, that isn't so hard now is it?

The word "to" is a preposition or used in the infinitive verb form. As in: I go to school to learn that "too" is an adverb and not to be confused with "two" (a number), or "to" (a preposition).

I noticed that you also confuse "your" (a pronoun) and "you're" (a pronoun verb contraction)

Life is too short to have people correcting you all the time. Get it right the first time and they will stop. Seriously.

For all their blathering about "states rights", republicans really don't give a shit what goes on in individual states, even when it pertains to their own ratfuck party. They only care about winning regardless of the cost, and regardless of who they stomp on in the process.

On NPR they had either the current or former Nevada Governor stating that Romney's campaign staff screwed it up. They didn't get their delegates to show up at the other caucuses to get their own delegates elected.

Maybe the regular state party will continue to slam Preibus and have some fun with the Romney inbreds.
