Single-Engine Plane Crashes In Compton Back Yard

Source: CBS

A single-engine Piper PA28 airplane took off Wednesday from Compton/Woodley Airport with one passenger, and after flying briefly, the plane experienced engine failure.

The pilot attempted to land the plane on Central Avenue but was unable to do so.

The pilot suffered a deep cut above his left eye from the impact of the crash; however, he was able to get out of the plane before paramedics arrived.
