Mitt Romney raising money at home of 'morning-after pill' exec
The $50,000-a-plate fundraiser Wednesday night is at the Miami home of Phil Frost, chairman of Teva Pharmaceuticals, which makes 'morning-after pills.' Mitt Romney opposes their use, calling them 'abortive pills.'

Mitt Romney is criss-crossing Florida Wednesday and Thursday, mostly for routine fundraisers. But one event Wednesday evening has caught the attention of activists on both sides of the abortion debate: a $50,000-a-plate dinner at the Miami home of a pharmaceutical executive whose company makes a kind of “morning-after pill.”

The pill, called Plan B One-Step, is produced by Teva Pharmaceuticals – and it is Teva’s chairman, Phil Frost, and his wife who are hosting the Romney fundraiser at their home on Miami’s exclusive Star Island. Anti-abortion activists sometimes refer to emergency contraception as “abortive pills,” a phrase Romney has used. Planned Parenthood says this characterization is false.

No matter. By all indications, the fundraiser is going ahead, in spite of criticism last week by the chairwoman of Concerned Women for America, Penny Nance. She told The Daily Caller that she would urge Romney to cancel the event “because it is dirty money.”

By Wednesday, there wasn’t much chatter in the conservative blogosphere about the fundraiser.

Romney doesn't care about abortion other than as an issue that can get him votes.

9. Plan B does NOT interfere with implantation. Romney is a liar.

This Oxford study was published in 2003, and peer review completed more than a year before this issue came before Romney’s desk as governor.

This second study was completed in 2004.

Plan-B does not cause changes to the endometrium that make it inhospitable to implantation. It prevents or delays the release of an egg, ONLY. He does not have a scientific leg to stand on, for nearly 10 years on that bullshit claim.

TEVA has done nothing but make huge profits under this administration, 13% increase in first quarter of this year. Why try to fix something that isn't broke? It must be the FDA regulations that possibly would get gutted by a Romney administration.

And that is money. They would scream like a stuck pig if it were Obama at that fundraiser, but
since the money was for their boy, they said nothing, and will remain silent. Krauthammer and
super-Catholic George Will won't even say a peep. This is about money and power, and their god,
other than being a useful tool for their masses, has no role to play here.
