No argument- this was a war crime regardless of all else. Change you can believe in.

That the bombing of that hospital may very well be a war crime, I can't help but wonder why the MANY war crimes committed by the bush43 cabal were pretty much given a pass.
Now it seems they're not wasting any time at all to pursue war crimes charges in this instance.

5. The US Air Force's New AC-130 Gunships Are Really Bomb Trucks (Tyler Rogoway 6-1-14 Foxtrot Alpha)

Children burning in their hospital beds, doctors and nurses under attack for an extended period by an AC-130. The hospital was clearly well identified prior to the crime.

Let's keep our troops over there "as long as it takes" because freedom is on the march!
How many veterans killed themselves today?

Anyone remember when Candidate Obama had said he was going to end the war in Afghanistan? Wonder what happened? That was 7 of 14 long years ago now. Oh well, who cares now, right?

8. Got some bad advice, somewhere, Sir. Petraeus, perhaps?

Worst of all, COIN advocates committed the cardinal sin of believing that a shift in military tactics or a new commander would be enough to win a military conflict in which the US was engaged. As the great Chinese war philosopher once wrote, "tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat". That is a lesson that Petraeus, among others, simply forgot. Indeed, it's worth remembering that when asked by President Obama, point blank, if a surge of troops to Afghanistan could turn things around in 18 months, Petraeus responded:

"Sir, I'm confident we can train and hand over to the ANA (Afghan National Army) in that time frame."

COIN sounds so much like COINTELPRO it echoes.
