(3,412 posts)This is the home of the brave, American's face their foes like Adults,
with reason, bravery, and together. The GOP are like whiny
scary children, the GOP with all its guns, runs away from trouble, and
points to women, children, and refuges as scape goats.
Obama's a real man and real leader, like most Americans will face
up to any enemy foreign or domestic.
The GOP has become embarrassing to all of Americans: they were before
with Trump and Carson, etc.: But now with their latest fear selling its
just sickening
Hillary should make a speech or Obama and say to America's the country
with come through this enemy call Isis, like we have all the rest:

(45,984 posts)When a presidential candidate -- or the president himself -- starts talking this way then it's time to send your young adult children to Canada on an indefinite vacation. This always comes out to be the start of a quagmire in which a hundred thousand or more US troops end up on the ground in a war that has more to do with keeping Exxon and Shell profitable than it has to do with fighting terrorists. American soldiers will die and Arab civilians will be caught in the crossfire, creating more refugees for American and European demagogues to use as a political football. ISIS (of whatever your preferred name for them is) will make every effort to draw Israel into the conflict, putting Israeli civilians at risk. Whatever one thinks of Bibi the Butcher, that's not a good thing.
We don't need to fight more wars for oil. We really don't need the oil. We can supplant fossil fuels with renewable energy sources quickly and be done with Middle Eastern wars and climate change both. Big oil and big coal need to learn that they are expendable; human beings are not.
I urge all Americans -- and all other people whose crooked governments put them in harm's way in order to keep oil corporations on life support -- to avoid military service. The time has come to stop pretending that the West is a bastion of democracy, recognize that we live under the dictatorship of an oligarchy who own most of the politicians for whom we vote. They don't represent us, and we don't need to abide by their laws.
Power to the people.

(33 posts)You are exactly right.
I expected Hillary to declare war sometime during her first term, but I never thought she would do it before she was even elected President.
