SAN BERNADINO, California (WHDH) -

Emergency crews are responding to an active shooter in San Bernadino, California.

According to the San Bernadino Fire Department Twitter account, emergency crews are responding to reports of a "20-victim shooting incident in 1300-block of S. Waterman. SBPD is working to clear the scene."

The reported shooter was still on the loose and multiple casualties were reported, the county sheriff's office said on Twitter.

The San Bernadino County Sheriff has confirmed one to three possible suspects.

Syndrome, Autism, Fragile X, etc. Some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Our very sick society.

According to the Inland Regional Center’s Facebook page, the facility “Serving individuals with developmental disabilities in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.” There are 670 people who work at the location, serving over 30,200 people per year.

The shooting apparently began at the Inland Regional Center, a nonprofit organization that works with developmentally disabled people. There appears to be a Planned Parenthood building located in the same area, though there are currently no indications that it’s connected to the shooting in any way.

At least 12 people are confirmed dead and another 20 are injured, according to ABC. Los Angeles’ FOX 11 reports cops are currently searching for “3 white males dressed in military gear.”
