Not life takers like Farook.

You know if I was on the Titanic, I would want the women and children first on the lifeboat. I will take the cold drink.

I guess that makes me a bad person...

But it is wrong to make the true measure of a man be whether he sacrifices his life for a woman. Now, it is honorable to sacrifice one's life for another, but a woman's life is no more valuable than a man's. Equality. The optics of saying that the definition of a man is sacrificing his life for a woman's are pretty bad.

There is a good case to be made for always sacrificing one's life for children (of either sex), I will grant.

bad guy with the gun. Here's a man without a gun, but with the courage to save another's life, like the young teacher in Sandy Hook. I wonder if the blowhards wanting everyone to be armed would have a tiny ounce of such courage.

RIP, Shannon Johnson.

I hope it helps to bring a little comfort to all his family and friends and all who knew him to know of his heroic act to save another's life.

Ms Peraza will forever be bonded to him and keep him in her heart.
