Newt Gingrich to attend Romney fundraiser with Donald Trump in Las Vegas

Source: ABC

Billionaire real estate investor and television personality Donald Trump is hosting a pricey fundraiser for presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in Las Vegas next Tuesday and Newt Gingrich is expected to make an appearance, Yahoo News has learned.

"Newt is expected to be there along with many other well known people," Michael Cohen, Trump's special counsel, told Yahoo News.

To co-chair the fundraiser at Trump International Hotel, supporters are required to raise $250,000 on behalf of Romney's presidential campaign, according to the invitation to the event. A VIP reception with Romney costs $10,000 and the minimum donation to attend is $2,500.

Trump, who officially endorsed Romney in February, will play "a significant role" at the fundraiser, Cohen said.

Talk about tone deaf as Noot raises big cash for Rmoney, who helped millionaires and billionaires hide away money and investments in the Caymans.

The Newt and the Donald make a lovely pair

Trump's idea of good business is to be a banker, but he's proven he isn't very good at it. You see, Donald Trump isn't really anything substantial in real estate. Trump went broke a long time ago. 1990 to be precise. His last time of actually being a serious developer was in the 1980s. His holdings in real estate are actually rather limited. What Trump sells is all he's really got left: the Trump name. What Donald Trump does these days, his "dealmaking" if you will, is basically slap his name on top of the work of real developers do. Essentially, he's a franchise salesman. You put the capital. You build the property. You own the property, but you pay Trump to use the Trump name:

The difference is that the Dems offered something where regular folks could attend whereas the Trump event is for the 1% only.

Poor Las Vegas - both to be in the midst of a recession and to have the Three Douches descend on you!

Only in America could a pair of buffoons such as these presume that their opinions or endorsements could possibly matter. However, for the dems and independents, it is like a breath of fresh air for this endorsement or appearance for it is the kiss of death (hopefully) for Romney.
