(Reuters) - The State Department is expelling Syria's charge d'affaires in Washington following a wave of deadly attacks on civilians in Syria over the weekend, an official said.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the Syrian diplomat would be given 72 hours to depart the country. Syria's longtime ambassador to Washington, Imad Moustapha, was recalled to Damascus late last year and a formal replacement had not been named.

(Reuters) - Britain is expelling the Syrian charge d'affaires and two other senior Syrian diplomats, Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Tuesday.
The move was part of a co-ordinated expulsion of Syrian diplomats from other major capitals.
Hague said the diplomats had been given seven days to leave the country.

Germany expels Syrian ambassador - source

(Reuters) - Germany is expelling Syria's ambassador following a massacre in the town of Houla last week in which more than 100 people died, a government source said on Tuesday.
The move was agreed in coordination with the United States, France, Britain and other partners," said the source, requesting anonymity.
An official announcement is expected later on Tuesday.
