MANCHESTER, NH Today, Governor Martin OMalley proposed a bill of rights for American workers to build on President Obamas legacy by bringing fairness to the economy and giving families back their right to achieve the American Dream.
The workers bill of rights is a comprehensive proposal filled with specific actions that would put more money into the pockets of working people and ensure that no one who works for a living has to live paycheck to paycheck or struggle to scrape by.
As OMalley wrote on Medium, As Ive traveled across the country, its clear that we have come a long way since the Wall Street crash of 2008, when millions of Americans lost their jobs, homes, and life savings. Thanks to President Obamas leadership, America is creating jobs again and has for a record 70 months in a row.
Yet we still have urgent work to do to build on that legacy and protect it from Republican attacks especially when it comes to Americas middle class and the working people who, too often, have been shut out of the recovery.

(29,798 posts)Bernie is far out in front of OMally on virtually every issue OMally is trying to claim. If he really cared about those issues, he'd drop out now and throw his support behind Sanders. The only role he has at this stage is as a spoiler trying to drain a few critical points of support away from Sanders.

(31,849 posts)Martin O'Malley is doing exactly as he should be doing ... grinding it out AND putting out proposals that have, both, meat AND a possibility of realization.
ETA: This O'Malley supporter, that cares very much about his proposals, will throw his vote to HRC, should O'Malley drop out.

(24,924 posts)but it isn't worth it with some people
If O' Malley were viewed as closer to HRC that individual would be saying how O' Malley shouldn't drop out, he should fight to the end, etc
I prefer Sanders, but I want O'Malley to stick it out.
There has been a lot of good ideas and discussion from each of the candidates
I think having O' Malley in the race helps
To drop out before the Iowa caucus is kind of silly
Especially given how much work he has put into the state
He should stick with it and see what happens
