Security tighter than ever at Bilderberg conference

Source: The Washington Times

Chantilly's Westfields Marriott hotel is the site of an “unprecedented” security crackdown as the world’s richest and most powerful arrive for the annual Bilderberg conference.

Hundreds of demonstrators are expected to protest the highly secretive gathering, which kicks off Thursday and lasts through the weekend. The off-the-record meeting, well known in conspiracy lore but typically given little to no media attention each year, once again will bring together heads of state, billionaire bankers, leading businessmen and other international movers and shakers.

A perimeter of about a half-mile has been set up around the Northern Virginia hotel, and all non-Bilderberg guests reportedly were kicked out of their rooms. A photographer for The Washington Times was told by law enforcement Wednesday that any attempt to get close to the building would result in arrest.
--
The official Bilderberg guest list is kept under wraps, as are the specific topics for discussion. Rumored to be at the top of the agenda this year is the European financial crisis.

Frequent attendees, including Henry A. Kissinger and David Rockefeller, are expected again. A copy of last year’s guest list, leaked to a journalist covering the conference, offers a window into just how much influence Bilderberg guests wield. Google Chairman Eric Schmidt, World Bank President Robert B. Zoellick, European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and Greek Minister of Finance George Papaconstantinou were reportedly among those in attendance at the 2011 meeting in Switzerland. Global business titans, government officials and political figures rounded out the guest list of more than 100, though skeptics suspect dozens of names, especially of high-profile individuals, are kept off of it.

The Bilderberg organization releases virtually no information about the meeting.

The Meaning of Occupy Bilderberg: The Elevation of The Shadow Into Public Consciousness
The Occupy Movement Grows Up And Takes On The Big Boys At The 2012 Bilderberg Conference.
May 31, 2012

"What a difference a year makes. Occupy Bilderberg? I love it. The Occupy movement seems finally to have realised that the problem isn't the 1%, it's the 0.001%. It's the guys and gals and whatever David Rockefeller is who are meeting in Chantilly, Virginia, at the end of the week. Many hundreds of protestors have pledged to show up. And who knows, they may just manage to drag the mainstream news media with them." - Charlie Skelton: Bilderberg 2012: the technocrats are rising at this year's annual conference; May 30, 2012.
"Do nothing secretly; for Time sees and hears all things, and discloses all." - Sophocles.
The occupy movement is growing up and taking on the big boys at the 2012 Bilderberg conference, held in Chantilly, Virginia.

Bilderberg is the shadow G8 and G20. Its much more powerful and influential in global affairs than those public bodies. It is the invisible layer of skin under the thick public skin of national governments, global media, global banks, global charities, and global corporations.

'Machine gun nests and unprecedented security' for secretive Bilderberg meeting of captains of industry and government leaders
By Daily Mail Reporter

The Bilderberg Group, a collection of top captains of industry and western government leaders, is gathering for its annual meeting this weekend under unprecedented security.

Reports from the Mariott Westfields Hotel in Chantilly, Virginia, indicate security officials have set up machine gun nests and are deploying satellite surveillance and other sophisticated monitoring equipment to keep guests safe.

Conspiracy theorists say the closed-door, invitation-only gatherings of 150 of the most powerful people in North America and Western Europe are ground zero for the New World Order, the place where the influential collude to steer the course of human history.

--
This year, 1,000 people are signed for an 'Occupy Bilderberg' protest, which is spurring the extra-tight security, according to right-wing journalist and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. As Guardian columnist Charlie Skelton puts it, Bilderberg isn't about the 1 percent -- it's the 0.001 percent.

18. The don't oppose austerity, they voted for it, just as they want government shut downs.
Fri Jun 1, 2012, 11:31 AM
Jun 2012

They're making an ineffective picket of a meeting of the rich and dangerous, in order to propagandize in alternative media. They vote against Democrats who are trying to keep the government going to prevent people from dying, because they regard them as 'statists.'

ALEC and the GOP intend to destroy 'the faith and credit' of the American government and these people are still their stooges. Note, that they are into buying gold, silver and ammunition. They welcome austerity as the end of the government. For those who can't live without government help, well, they can just die off. The reason for the guns is to drive them away from their property, as they call them leeches.

They'll explain the result of austerity pushed by the Pauls and other GOP, as some world wide plot to take the heat off of their heroes to justify the people they call 'nanny staters' being hurt and they welcome that.

They voted for representatives that oppose the regulations that would have prevented the bankers from bankrupting us, as part of the government supported by the 'illegal IRS' and don't care about the elderly, poor and disabled getting benefits. They've got a magical solution to all of that, take care of them at home. They don't care if they don't have families to care of them. It's the poor man's version of Romney's 'borrow money from your parents for college' solution, requiring the state to disappear within feudalism.

They want it all gone as part of their philosophy for another world order that they want, just not the branded variety they call 'NWO.' These are mythologies built up by the right for years to organize people against liberal mitigation of corporate crimes that only a strong government can oppose. They and the austerity hawks are the same, coming from two apparently different sides, but the result is the same.

Not well expressed but I'm barely awake, and that's JMHO.

Sat Jun 2, 2012, 10:01 PM
Jun 2012

because they are used to smear and discredit not just the conspiracy nutcases, but also the legitimate attention to what is the real scandal here: that this tiny group of multi-billionaires wields an obscene amount of the world's wealth and power and that they have been sinking their corporate tentacles into governments all over the world.

This is a legitimate news story. Good for Occupy for being there.
