Donald Trump Raises Suspicions About Justice Scalia's Death

Source: People for the American Way-Right Wing Watch

Earlier today, Donald Trump chatted with far-right radio host Michael Savage, who has been voicing doubts that Justice Antonin Scalia died of natural causes, suggesting that foul play was involved.

When Savage wondered if Scalia was "murdered" and asked Trump if he would support a Warren Commission-style investigation into the late justice's death, Trump said that while he doesn't have enough information to comment on whether Scalia was murdered or not, he said it was "pretty unusual" that he was found with "a pillow on his face."

In the past, Trump has touted InfoWars radio host Alex Jones, a foremost Scalia truther.

Trump adopts the latest tinfoil nuttery and comes out as a Scalia deather while on Michael "Savage" Weiner's show.

Maybe he can get his supposed crack team of birth certificate investigators to come back from Hawaii and look into it

If we had a media worth a damn, they'd rip him to pieces for this irresponsible rhetoric.

Instead, he'll get yet another pass, and will be checking in for his morning tongue bath from Joe and Mika tomorrow.

The death of Antonin Scalia: Chaos, confusion and conflicting reports

By Eva Ruth Moravec, Sari Horwitz and Jerry Markon February 14

<snip>

Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara pronounced Scalia dead of natural causes without seeing the body — which is permissible under Texas law — and without ordering an autopsy.

<snip>

Meanwhile, Guevara acknowledged that she pronounced Scalia dead by phone, without seeing his body. Instead, she spoke to law enforcement officials at the scene — who assured her “there were no signs of foul play” — and Scalia’s physician in Washington, who said that the 79-year-old justice suffered from a host of chronic conditions.

“He was having health issues,’’ Guevara said, adding that she is awaiting a statement from Scalia’s doctor that will be added to his death certificate when it is issued later this week.

<snip>

Guevara also rebutted a report by a Dallas TV station that quoted her as saying that Scalia had died of “myocardial infarction.” In an interview with The Washington Post, she said she meant only that his heart had stopped.

“It wasn’t a heart attack,” Guevara said. “He died of natural causes.”

In rural Texas areas, a justice of the peace typically makes the determination of the cause of death in cases when no witnesses were present. An inquest by phone is as valid as one in person under state law. Presidio county Judge Guevara was 60 miles away.

If you have a 79-year-old overweight person and you have a statement from the physician and zero indicators of foul play, then it's not unusual for there to be no autopsy. Judge Guevara spoke with Scalia's doctor on the day he was found dead. The doctor told her that Scalia had a history of heart trouble, high blood pressure and was considered too weak to undergo surgery for a recent shoulder injury.

Guevara said the attorney for Scalia told her the family did not want an autopsy performed because they believe he died of natural causes and they preferred not to delay his body's return to them. Guevara said she consulted with Scalia's physician and the sheriff before deciding.

There is no clear reason for her to have ordered it.

If someone is attended by a physician within a certain number of hours of death, the death may not meet the definition of "unattended," depending on state law.

Scalia reportedly had multiple chronic health conditions and had seen his doctor just before flying to Texas--reportedly to clear him to make the trip.

Is there a trustworthy source for that info?

What surprised me was how sloppily Texas handles unattended deaths. No official saw the body in situ? No investigator looked at the body before calling the death a myocardial infarction? Was blood drawn for a toxicology screen?

I'm starting to suspect that the death was so sordid, no one wants to reveal the circumstances. Was it autoerotic asphyxia, and they're trying to protect his reputation and his family? Did he die of a drug OD?

Is this why his family doesn't want an autopsy?

The "friend" may have been on top of things to begin with. Which is why it may have taken so long for them to get their story straight.

Pathology and publish about a half-dozen post-doc books before giving up medicine as "too boring"? In the same year, didn't he win both the Nobel for Medicine and the Pullitizer for best illustrated Children's Medical Book: "Playing Doctor with Your First Cousin"? My recollection is that he was the role model on which Doogie Howser was based.

So the FBI should jump right on this one cause he's the only candidate smart enough to spot a murder conspiracy.

No, I'm not going to tag it sarcasm - it's satire.
