Donald Trump Raises Suspicions About Justice Scalia's Death
Source: People for the American Way-Right Wing Watch
Earlier today, Donald Trump chatted with far-right radio host Michael Savage, who has been voicing doubts that Justice Antonin Scalia died of natural causes, suggesting that foul play was involved.
When Savage wondered if Scalia was "murdered" and asked Trump if he would support a Warren Commission-style investigation into the late justice's death, Trump said that while he doesn't have enough information to comment on whether Scalia was murdered or not, he said it was "pretty unusual" that he was found with "a pillow on his face."
In the past, Trump has touted InfoWars radio host Alex Jones, a foremost Scalia truther.

Trump adopts the latest tinfoil nuttery and comes out as a Scalia deather while on Michael "Savage" Weiner's show.
Maybe he can get his supposed crack team of birth certificate investigators to come back from Hawaii and look into it
If we had a media worth a damn, they'd rip him to pieces for this irresponsible rhetoric.
Instead, he'll get yet another pass, and will be checking in for his morning tongue bath from Joe and Mika tomorrow.

(8,175 posts)My ex died this year, in his sleep, and his doctor came to declare his death. He knew his history and knew it was natural causes. I'm betting Scalia had some health issues related to his heart, weight, and age that his doctor was watching.

(8,175 posts)I was referring to a post about needing an autopsy.
In Scalia's case, someone had to see him and declare his death, and a doctor cannot do that without seeing the body.
Maybe you have a link to your statement?

Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara pronounced Scalia dead of natural causes without seeing the body which is permissible under Texas law and without ordering an autopsy.
<snip>
Meanwhile, Guevara acknowledged that she pronounced Scalia dead by phone, without seeing his body. Instead, she spoke to law enforcement officials at the scene who assured her there were no signs of foul play and Scalias physician in Washington, who said that the 79-year-old justice suffered from a host of chronic conditions.
He was having health issues, Guevara said, adding that she is awaiting a statement from Scalias doctor that will be added to his death certificate when it is issued later this week.
<snip>
Guevara also rebutted a report by a Dallas TV station that quoted her as saying that Scalia had died of myocardial infarction. In an interview with The Washington Post, she said she meant only that his heart had stopped.
It wasnt a heart attack, Guevara said. He died of natural causes.

(37,748 posts)In rural Texas areas, a justice of the peace typically makes the determination of the cause of death in cases when no witnesses were present. An inquest by phone is as valid as one in person under state law. Presidio county Judge Guevara was 60 miles away.
If you have a 79-year-old overweight person and you have a statement from the physician and zero indicators of foul play, then it's not unusual for there to be no autopsy. Judge Guevara spoke with Scalia's doctor on the day he was found dead. The doctor told her that Scalia had a history of heart trouble, high blood pressure and was considered too weak to undergo surgery for a recent shoulder injury.
Guevara said the attorney for Scalia told her the family did not want an autopsy performed because they believe he died of natural causes and they preferred not to delay his body's return to them. Guevara said she consulted with Scalia's physician and the sheriff before deciding.
There is no clear reason for her to have ordered it.

What surprised me was how sloppily Texas handles unattended deaths. No official saw the body in situ? No investigator looked at the body before calling the death a myocardial infarction? Was blood drawn for a toxicology screen?
I'm starting to suspect that the death was so sordid, no one wants to reveal the circumstances. Was it autoerotic asphyxia, and they're trying to protect his reputation and his family? Did he die of a drug OD?
Is this why his family doesn't want an autopsy?
