Thousands of Supporters Raise Their Right Hands in Devotion to Their Leader, Donald Trump
Source: Gawker.
Thousands of supporters line up to stare adoringly at their supreme leader, who, without reproach, spews forth racist mantras from his hateful, angry mouth. They raise their right hands to salute, blindly following their führer.

(5,082 posts)Just like Rudy Gulianni and George Bush are close friends of the Clintons. Bernie isn't corrupt like that. It's not about rubbing elbows. These people collude together.

(2,382 posts)... and they said, "It can't happen here!" Guess again. Even back in the 30s there were a LOT of prominent Americans who thought Maria Anna Schicklgruber's grandson, Adolph Hitler, was the cat's pajamas. Charles Lindberg, Prescott Bush, Fred Koch, and hundreds, if not thousands, of others believed fascism was the answer to all their problems. Hitler adopted the political philosophy of Mussolini, who preferred to call his system of government, "Corporatism."
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

(102,804 posts)he knows this will go viral or close and get more media attention. I think what could be interesting is if everyone who is still watching teevee would just turn it off whenever someone you're watching starts talking about this POS. If it became a consistency for a week it could get the attention of some of the gatekeepers. I mean, after all, ratings...
Until everyone stops responding to his BS, he's gonna keep 'em comin'.

(9,445 posts)Can anyone imagine what would have happened if Obama supporters had done the same thing when he was running for President? The media and the Republican Party claimed his supporters were cultish just because he had a large amount of supporters who were enthusiastic about him.
There are two other explanations for what Trumps supporters are doing in that picture. One, they are praying for him. Two, he just asked them to raise their hands if they agree with him.

It's not true, the way I hear it, Trump asked people to make a promise to vote and they raised their hands. I'm no Trump supporter but this is fanning the flames of hate. This is unacceptable, even if it is Trump.

(24,692 posts)That seems to be true historically over time and place. Perhaps the desire to trust and be led is universal, if particularly strong on the right.
