Feeling the Bern
(3,839 posts)This is the same playbook she ran against Obama and lost, even though her minions in Washington, the media and here on DU kept saying she was inevitable.
The might is beginning to fall.

(15,480 posts)The Wrath of Klinton is not a myth, you know. Just google HRC's abusive remarks to the Arkansas State Troopers and Secret Service men and women over the decades.
I can just hear that hushed conversation at Clinton campaign headquarters:
Buffy: Somebody has to get her prepped to answer questions about possible indictments.
Jorge: Well that "somebody" ain't gonna be me! YOU tell her to prepare those answers.
Buffy: No, YOU tell her.
Jorge: I'm not gonna tell her! - I need this job, poorly paid as it is. I'm the one with massive student loan debt who couldn't find a decent job in this crap economy. You're the Ivy League trust fund baby who can afford an unpaid "internship" while your One Percent Daddy picks up the tab for all your living expenses, first class airfare, etc. So YOU tell her!
Buffy: Oh, fuck it. She'll drop out by June anyway. I'm spending the summer in Europe and starting my MBA at Stanford in September.

(11,617 posts)Either stick to the issues or pass on these debates.
The last thing Democrats need is a long TV ad bashing Democratic candidates.

(15,426 posts)These moderators asked some really hardball questions and I felt great about that because it is something I have wanted to see for decades. I get sick of the kind of 'debates' that just allow each candidate to trot out some applause lines, and it didn't happen here.
What is even better, I think, is the way Latinos and African Americans are standing up and making demands. Sure, the debate was about immigration, Cuba, central America etc. But it was good these candidates got asked these questions. I'd LOVE to see this type of hardball debate with the GOP. Oh, they will never do it, but just think...

(31,935 posts)I suppose a natural politician would hoodwink most people with ease, and Hillary comes across as deceptive and artificial, though she does fib with astonishing ease, and all of those qualities are what one expects in a stereotypical establishment politician. Bernie isn't a natural politician either; he's just himself, saying what he honestly believes, and that genuine quality is so non-stereotypical that it causes most people to sit up and take notice.
Hillary is "fighting for them" alright; "them" being her billionaire donors and buddies at Goldman Sachs!

(15,480 posts)You know - someone perceived as trustworthy and honest.
I agree with her - she is not a natural politician.

(65,711 posts)she lies, she flip flops and she takes money from corporate interests.
that's todays natural politician.
what I think she is not, is a person prepared or capable for running for president.
she is weighed down by too much baggage.

(22,951 posts)When a candidate passes the 50% threshold, then that candidate will be "too far ahead in delegates." Your attempts to minimize the opinions of voters in the of states that have not voted yet is disturbingly undemocratic.
