(10,710 posts)No need for despair. In fact - start working to defeat the republican nominee - all of them are dreadful!

(58,283 posts)I phone banked for Ohio this morning. I only found one person at home, a no-nonsense union man. He promised he'd vote before 7:30 pm. I was so worried about Ohio. Looks like the reason I didn't reach anyone but that one man was because THEY WERE ALL OUT VOTING FOR HILLARY!!!!

(38,045 posts)It seems it's not.
At some point it may become true that bashing Ms. Clinton endlessly as the re-incarnation of Satan, will work in favor of a real Satan.
Just saying...

(10,710 posts)Obama has been a great president. Hillary will be too.

(38,045 posts)...tonight, when my cab driver - a Jamaican - informed me that "white people love Trump."
I gently disabused him of that notion, and informed him that our country will never again elect an open racist as President - even if we did so until the middle of the twentieth century - and he said to me, "Well Hillary will be a great President."
I agreed.
I'm very happy this evening, even if the racist is sweeping the other party. On the bright side, it obviates who they are.

(8,610 posts)Seems a bit premature to claim Ohio for anyone just yet. Unless someone owns the machines?

(38,045 posts)...it's 59.6% Clinton, 39.4% Sanders.
You never know though. Sanders could, in theory at least, take every vote that remains to be counted.
