D.C. Madam's Attorney Says Call Log Bombshell Could Upend 2016 Race

Judges 'are letting people vote blindly,' gagged lawyer says.

By Steven Nelson
March 28, 2016, at 2:55 p.m.

A lawyer who represented the so-called “D.C. madam” says he has phone records that could influence the outcome of the presidential election, and he’s threatening to release one or more names on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court if he’s denied a hearing on his right to distribute them.

Montgomery Blair Sibley, the late madam Deborah Palfrey’s colorful attorney, has been subject to a restraining order since 2007 barring him from releasing the information, which he says includes 815 names, addresses and Social Security numbers of Verizon Wireless customers.

“Time is of the essence because people are casting votes in primaries and caucuses,” he says. “I believe this information is relevant to that political discourse.”

Sibley first said the records could be relevant to the presidential race in January, when there were 15 high-profile candidates. Now, just three Republicans and two Democrats remain – though Sibley won’t say if any are implicated, citing fear of being jailed for contempt.

I would never say never in Washington though. I've been surprised plenty by politicians (and people in general). I saw a list that speculated the least likely to most likely. To my recollection it went:

5) Hillary cause she's a woman (I also think it ignored Bill as a possibility)
4) Trump cause he doesn't need to pay for it
3) Bernie
2) Kasich
1) Cruz

Cruz graduated from Princeton University in 1992, and from Harvard Law School in 1995. Between 1999 and 2003, he was the Director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission, an Associate Deputy Attorney General at the United States Department of Justice, and domestic policy advisor to George W. Bush on the 2000 George W. Bush presidential campaign. He served as Solicitor General of Texas, from 2003 to 2008, appointed by Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbott. He was the first Hispanic, and the longest-serving, Solicitor General in Texas history. From 2004 to 2009, Cruz was also an adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where he taught U.S. Supreme Court litigation.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Cruz

Then there is Kasich.

Kasich served nine terms as a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Ohio's 12th congressional district from 1983 to 2001.[5] His tenure in the House included 18 years on the House Armed Services Committee and six years as chairman of the House Budget Committee. He was a key figure in the passage of both welfare reform and the Balanced Budget Act of 1997.

He was a commentator on Fox News Channel, hosting Heartland with John Kasich from 2001 to 2007. He also worked as an investment banker, a managing director of Lehman Brothers' Columbus, Ohio, office.[6][7]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kasich

Bernie was also in D.C. in the appropriate period, but I don't see him as linked into the sort of network that would have tipped him off about the D.C. madam. Also it is hard for me to imagine Bernie spending the money or the time on something like that. He doesn't even bother to comb his hair some of the time. I don't think he has the ego for visiting a prostitute but I could be wrong.

The entire story could be bogus. May be that not a one of them is on that list but that this is an opportunity to create a stir anyway.

From the article linked in the OP"

The records had carelessly been left in Palfrey’s basement, Sibley recalls.

“When the Keystone Kop police came in to seize everything [from Palfrey’s house] they walked by these boxes saying Pamela Martin Associates telephone records, 1996-2006, and they just left them there,” Sibley says. “So I got my hands on them and released a portion of them.”

But about a third of the records were not released, he says. “We held back these 5,000,” Sibley says. “I wanted to have something to negotiate with or surprise people at trial.”

Before trial, U.S. District Judge Gladys Kessler authorized subpoenas for cellphone companies requesting personal information. Verizon Wireless returned a list containing the names, addresses and Social Security numbers of about 815 people, Sibley says – a sizable subset of the 5,000 numbers not initially released.

The PTB murdered her, of that I am sure.

I don't need to prove to you that "I" believe she was offed by the gubmint. You're probably one of those that thinks 9/11 was pulled off without Bush/Cheney knowledge. Don't be naïve.

I'm betting you won't look at this link:

John Kasich was a member of Congress from January 3, 1983 – January 3, 2001, He was there for the DC Madam era... It's Kasich, the GOP's "convention failsafe" is screwed.

45. why doesn't he just stage a "break-in?"
Mon Mar 28, 2016, 11:18 PM
Mar 2016

Somebody breaks in, steals the records....

If he really wants the word out, that's what he'd do. I am suspecting there are other motives here.

OTOH, I am scandal-deprived and would like to believe otherwise. And you know whose fault it is, don't you! That No-Drama Obama. I've forgotten the fun of a good D.C. scandal.

One last comment. This is from Ted Cruz:

“These smears are completely false, they’re offensive to Heidi and me, they’re offensive to our daughters, and they’re offensive to everyone Donald continues to personally attack,”

Now really, look at that statement. A "smear" is "completely false?" Is that not a bit of a redundancy? Or: A completely false smear. Is that not a double negative? So that would mean it's true?

And who cares if they're offensive to Ted, his wife, and his daughters. Duh, Ted. That was the whole idea.

He wrote a book on his client DC Madam, who committed suicide in 2008

Why Just Her Paperback – April 14, 2009 by Montgomery Blair Sibley

2007 The Colorful Case of A Well-Named Lawyer
DC and Florida suspended his law license for going after judges after his wife took him to court for child support (very roughly from memory)

This outlines what happened with him losing his ability to practice law

While that was going on, he hooked up with this career felon and lost a lawsuit against Obama with him:

2008 Larry Sinclair's lawyer (Sibley) talks about his genitalia
(at a press conference where Sinclair is arrested for passing counterfeit money orders in Delaware while eluding a warrant in Colorado for cashing some else's check and the FBI chasing Sinclair out of Laredo for smuggling illegal aliens)

The press conference was stranger than fiction with two certifiable nuts on display.
Sinclair and Sibley had a falling out and Sinclair alleged Sibley kept his money.

Sibley ran for President in 2012 ... and did his birther thing against Obama
http://montgomeryblairsibley.com/

Last year, he tried to sue Congress:

He writes these wild briefs (this one pro se example) for his frivolous lawsuits

He was still working the Obama birther angle a year ago ... trying to nail Obama criminally
Montgomery Blair Sibley Suggests Citizens Nationwide Petition Their Local County Grand Jury to Investigate Obama’s Forged ID Docs

look at all this legal crap he's done fairly recently:

This example of outcome is typical

The D.C. Madam may have been kind of a hot tip in certain circles (if this story has any reality to it at all, and it well may not).

I seriously doubt that Bernie would have been on the hot tip circuit when it comes to this. See the Wikipedia articles on Cruz and Kasich and their careers in D.C. at the relevant time.

I suppose this will now be the smear du jour for Hillary promoters although the likelihood of there being any truth to it having odds worse than getting bitten by a shark after being hit by lightening after falling off your solid gold yacht in the middle of an ocean of chocolate.
