Hillary Clinton: Megyn Kelly is a 'superb journalist'

Hillary Clinton praised Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly in an interview on ABC's "The View" on Tuesday, but in a separate interview with Variety, Kelly said she hasn't been able to secure an interview with the former Secretary of State. Clinton was asked about Donald Trump on "The View" and used her response to praise Kelly, who the GOP front-runner has consistently targeted and attacked.

“His attitude about and what he has said about so many women, the way he treated Megyn Kelly — who is a superb journalist — I just don't understand what he thinks is the role of somebody running for president,” Clinton said. In an interview published on Tuesday with Variety, Kelly said that she's "still working" on securing an interview and that Clinton is the hold up. <snip>

"Actually, I haven’t gotten close enough to find out how she feels. She’s surrounded by so many circles, it’s like you can’t get through," Kelly said. "I hope she’s not going to govern like this. Am I really that scary? I’m a tough interviewer when it comes to these politicians, for sure. But how can she say she deserves George Washington’s job and not sit with me?"

I'm going to vote for our candidate no matter which one wins. Our primary is quite late, so I am not endorsing any candidate. The race is usually over by early May, so I have the luxury of voting for either candidate on the primary date, knowing by then it won't matter.

I usually work the polls, but health issues will keep me away in May. My vote will be a social call at my polling place. I will be back by Nov, my car festooned with Hillary or Bernie Sanders stickers. Also there will be Jim Gray for senate stickers. he is going after Rand Paul's seat.

I don't have TV and never heard her name until I read the Trump headlines.

But I saw some DU clown-post claiming, "She deserves what she gets. She wears short skirts like all them Fox women. She's not a serious journalist; just eye candy."

It made me think of all the generations of flight attendants ordered by their (male) bosses of their (male-run) businesses to have a certain "look" - pretty face, alluring clothes, full makeup, and ya better weigh in at size six or you get benched. I'm sure the men in business class thought what that DU poster thought - that those tarted-up whorish females deserved no respect and existed only to please males and have their asses grabbed. Because "good girls" don't wear short skirts, and any female who does, is asking for it.

Kinda grotesque, to see a woman getting crapped on by all sides: the bosses who want her to "look sexy;" the politician who belittles her for having menses; the supposed liberals who then snark at her short skirts.

This ugly woman-blaming shit has made me a Megan Kelly fan. Even though I still don't know the second thing about her, I know she doesn't deserve the crap that's being flung. She seems pretty tough, to have stood up to all this nonsense without quitting her job.

I assume she's a person trying to earn a living. And she should do that without being subject to anyone's woman-hatred.
