Drunken driver crashes into Alaska Governor's Mansion

Source: FOX News

JUNEAU, Alaska – A suspected drunk driver has been arrested after his truck crashed into the Governor's Mansion, damaging the historic house.

The Juneau Empire reports that officers found the 49-year-old suspect Thursday night. The suspect and his dog were sitting in a Ford F-150 that was lodged in a construction fence outside the Capitol. The suspect told officers that he also struck the Governor's mansion.

Police say Gov. Bill Walker was home during the crash but was not disturbed. The crash damaged the mansion's garage door.

Division of General Services facilities workers began repairs on the garage door Friday.

Todd Palin in the hospital before his release (Photo Credit: Facebook).

Todd Palin made it home [April 1] from the hospital after suffering a bad accident that left him in intensive care recently.

NBC News reports that two weeks after Palin’s snowmobiling accident, he’s at home healing with family. Palin suffered broken and fractured ribs, a broken shoulder blade, broken clavicle, knee/leg injuries; and a collapsed lung on March 13. It occurred north of the Palins’ Wasilla home in Alaska. The near-fatal experience took place when Todd’s wife, Sarah Palin, was stumping for GOP presidential front-runner, Donald Trump, in Tampa. The former 2008 vice presidential candidate remained supportive of her husband in spite of her loaded schedule.

We can't expect them to have a monopoly on dissipation in their state, I suppose.

One of Saint Sarah's very first baby scandals was firing the chief of police in Wasilla for trying to curb late-night drinking.
