Ohio home egged more than 100 times to get new paint job

Updated 7:15 pm, Saturday, May 7, 2016

EUCLID, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio home that was pelted with eggs more than 100 times over a year will finally get a fresh finish thanks to a local painting company.

WEWS-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1Wdl6cQ ) Neubert Painting in Brook Park is planning to paint the Euclid (YOO'-klid) home. Work was scheduled to start May 4 but was postponed because of the weather.

Jason Kozan was charged in March with vandalizing the home between May 2014 and June 2015. He tells WEWS-TV he isn't responsible for the vandalism.

Neubert Painting had offered to paint the home last summer as part of its Paint it Forward program. The company was waiting for police approval because the case was under investigation. It was given the go-ahead last fall.

1947 body was different. 1950 had a one-piece windshield.

The chrome trim varied depending on the model. Aftermarket chrome trim was surely available too.

Just a guess. I'm sure someone has posted online what it is.

On second thought, could be Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Chevrolet - definitely GM.

9. Kozan should have to pay for the lengthy investigation

As well as paying for repairs and painting Mr. Clemens home.

The police spent a huge amount of time and resources to catch this idiot. I don't care if Kozan has to pay for it for the rest of his life, he should reimburse the town for the costs.

More than 100 stealth egg attacks baffle one Euclid homeowner and police

<SNIP>

The house has been pelted with eggs several times a week -- sometimes more than once a day -- for the past year. The attacks always happen after dark and last around 10 minutes each.

The family has been awoken as late as 2 a.m. by what sounds like the crack of a gunshot against the aluminum siding or front door. Clemens and police believe the eggs are being launched from a block or two away.

The siding on the front of Clemens' home is destroyed, splattered with dried egg residue that stripped off the paint. Other than a few rogue eggs that hit nearby homes, no other neighbors have been targeted.

<SNIP>

Euclid police have not taken the investigation lightly. They've spent a year doing undercover stakeouts, canvassing the neighborhood and even sending eggshells for testing.

Euclid police crack case of man whose house was egged more than 100 times
By Evan MacDonald, cleveland.com
on March 16, 2016 at 2:56 PM, updated March 16, 2016 at 3:16 PM

EUCLID, Ohio -- A Euclid man faces charges that accuse him of egging a former neighbor's house more than 100 times in a single year.

Jason E. Kozan, 30, is charged with vandalism in the incidents that happened between May 20, 2014 to June 26, 2015, according to court records.

Kozan egged former neighbor Albert Clemens, Sr.'s house on Wilmore Avenue more than 100 times, police said. The attacks damaged Clemens' house and kept his family on edge, he said last year in an interview with cleveland.com.

<SNIP>

Detectives began investigating last year and obtained a warrant to search Kozan's former house. They found evidence they presented to a prosecutor who ultimately decided to file charges, Euclid Lt. Mike Knack said Wednesday.

Like, umm, why?

At least 30 years old he should have been able to find some better ways to entertain himself. If it was due to a dispute, then he should also be able to find better ways of handling it.

What a jackass.
