‘Nothing To Say’: Hillary Clinton Refuses To Respond To Trump’s Comments She Was ‘Enabler’ To Bill Clinton’s Marital Infidelities
May 9, 2016 6:53 PM

LOUDON COUNTY, Va. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton is refusing to respond to Donald Trump’s recent comments that she was an enabler of former President Bill Clinton’s marital infidelities during his political career.

The former secretary of state told reporters following an event in a Virginia suburb that she has “nothing to say” about the presumptive Republican nominee “and how he’s running his campaign.”

“I’m not running against him. He’s doing a fine job of doing that himself. I’m running my campaign, what I want to do as president, what I stand for, what I always stood for, and what I believe is going to make a difference for the people of this country,” Hillary Clinton said.
....................

Hillary Clinton told reporters she’s answering Trump “on what I think voters care about,” including on differences “between our records, our experience, what we want to do for our country.”

According to CBS News, Clinton has 2,228 of the 2,383 needed to secure the Democratic nomination...................

Good for Hillary. The Clintons decided to stay together as a family. It is nobodies business at this point. I am glad she did not say anything about it. Time for all and media to shut up about ancient history.

Hillary was in VA today--the media reports on the smears--little about her issues.

agreeing with the whole don't respond thing, but now I'm not so sure. Hillary is going to have to face the music sooner or later. She does not have to get in the mud with him, but she could respond to him in a way that makes him look very bad. The general election is different than the primary. She could say, "We had bad times in our marriage just like any couple, but I'm here to try and make things better in our country and to provide you with my solutions to the issues in this country," something on that level, but not argue with him.

Not at all germane to the election no matter what your position is but that's the tone our presidential election will take.

Trump is determined to turn the United States presidential election into a tabloid, scratching cat fight.
